Worship Team Stipends
Who on stage gets paid? (Worship leaders, singers, musicians). If they are paid, what other responsibilities do they have? How are campuses budgeted for?
We give a stipend for musicians, especially in the holiday season. Usually the higher the skill, the more we will have to do that. A lot of people can jump in as an usher or greeter, but not everyone can play bass. It’s a highly skilled task. We would hire a whole orchestra for a Christmas service and would pay industry standards for that position.
Campuses: We are one church, one checkbook, one board. The campuses are not autonomous, we pay for them as if they’re a department in our church. It does require a lot of communication for it to work well.
