Has Highlands provided teenagers with youth mission trip experience opportunities as part of their discipleship journey?
We used to go all over the world but it has gotten more dangerous. It is important to find mission experiences that are safe to go to. Be careful where you bring them first, they will fall in love with that place and forget about the rest of the world. Intentionally train them to know that all places need the gospel.
The value of a missions experience (raising money and mission training before they leave - how to eat everything set before you, how to act) is invaluable and a huge part of development. It allows them to see a world different than theirs and will stir a passion in them for the gospel.
