How did you structure pastoral care in the beginning? I know how vital small groups are to care - but with your pastoral team?

Make sure your small groups know when needs need to come to the campus. This is where the majority of our pastoral needs come from. We need our people to know that we are available. 

It’s great to remember that the majority of the support people will receive is from their small group, and that’s what they prefer! We are involved, but we may not be on-site as much as the small group leaders or group is. 

We document all of our pastoral care needs. Any phone call we make, we document. We have a weekly email that goes out with a list of all of the pastoral care needs updates of everyone in the hospital, who has had a death in the family, etc.
