How would you coach us to balance vision casting for in-house or church needs compared to missions, local outreach, etc.?

Keep it in balance. Always give the first 10% of the church’s income to go outside the 4 walls of the church. Don’t get lazy in your mission giving but really do something that’s in your heart to reach lost people.
