Best Advice For Those Launching Their Church

If you could go back in time to when you started Church of the Highlands, what advice would you give yourself?

The secret sauce to the beginning, laying the foundation, is the teams your build and develop the leaders God has placed in your hands. We only had 19 small group leaders for the 1st small group season that I had personally selected and helped coach through their small groups. I grass-root developed leaders and I personally led 3 small groups a week.

We had a weekly working date night and every week we invited 2 other couples to a restaurant table and invest in their life, ask questions, and get buy-in.

My advice would be to continue pouring into as many leaders as I could to call out the potential in them and watch God grow His Church through faithful stewards of gifts and talents.

Questions to ask at the table: What are you dreaming about? If you had all the money in the world, what would you do? You will find out their ministry passions.
