Growth Plateau
We are plateauing and not sure what to do next or where to identify what may be wrong. What would you recommend?
If your church feels like it’s hit a plateau and you’re unsure what’s causing it, you’re not alone—but you don’t have to stay stuck. The best place to start? Take a fresh look at your Sunday experience.
Ask yourself: What are people experiencing when they walk in, during service, and as they leave? Every moment matters—from the parking lot to the stage.
Pay close attention to the most visible teams: worship, kids, greeters, and anyone who represents your church upfront. Are they carrying and reflecting a healthy culture? If not, it may be time to re-align.
Don’t be afraid to invest in areas that matter—especially your next generation and worship ministries. These are often the heartbeat of growth and engagement.
Also, how are you marketing your church? If your community doesn’t know who you are or what you’re about, they can’t connect with you.
Ultimately, take time to find the lowest slat in your bucket—the one weak spot that’s keeping everything else from rising. Identifying and strengthening it could be the key to breaking through.
