Building Up to Legacy Offering

How many weeks (teachings, announcements, etc...) do you use to publically build up to legacy offering?

Ramp up to an offering. Do a 4-week series 8 weeks out from the offering. This series will be about values like generosity, missions, etc., and throw in some giving principles (1 Timothy 6). Stir people to places you give to through your teaching. Next, go into At The Movies. The movie, touches the heartstrings by showing a place where the church’s generosity is making a difference. Then people receive the Legacy Letter. 

Is what you’re giving to going to show up in Heaven? You need to help people see things through an eternal perspective. It’s not just being a philanthropist, but making an eternal difference.
