Annual Leadership Intensive

July 25-27, 2017

The Leadership Intensive takes place annually at Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama. This training event is designed for the Senior Pastor and any staff or volunteer leaders who oversee ministry within the local church.

The Intensive consists of general sessions and dozens of breakout labs that focus on specific ministry areas. The labs are designed to help provide hands-on training, as well as give attendees practical insights into how ministry happens at Church of the Highlands. Labs are designed with intentionality to allow both the training needed to understand the systems, structures, and key components that make up a ministry area, as well as ample time for question and answer. It is our goal to ensure that every attendee leaves resourced and with every question answered. To serve as many churches as possible, there is a limit of 8 attendees per church.

What is the physical address of Church of the Highlands?

The Leadership Intensive will be held in two locations.

How do I know which campus I will be attending?

During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to choose which campus you would like to attend. Your registration confirmation email, which you will receive upon completing your registration form, will specify the campus of your choice.

Can I register more than 8 team members to attend?

Unfortunately, we can only allow 8 team members per church to attend. This also includes any off-site campuses your church may have.

Who should I contact to change names on my registration?

How do I add more people to my registration?

To add additional registrants, you can register them online through the registration link found on the homepage of the Leadership Intensive page. If you have already registered 8 from your team, then your registration is full and no additional attendees can be added.

Can I receive a refund on my registration?

Wristbands will be mailed at the beginning of July. Our registration team has to have your wristband in the office by July 24th in order to receive a refund for the 2017 Intensive. If you need to cancel before the wristbands are sent, you are welcome to email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

What will the weather be like?

The average high in July is 85 degrees with a low of 75 degrees. We recommend that you check the forecast before you leave to be prepared for rain.

What should I wear?

The attire is casual. We do recommend bringing a light jacket for inside the auditorium.

Is childcare provided?

While families are important to us, the Intensive is an adult training event. Children and infants are not permitted in any of the sessions, and childcare is not provided.

Do you have wireless Internet available?

We have free Wi-Fi access available.

Is transportation provided?

Transportation is not provided by Church of the Highlands, but several hotels are offering a shuttle service. Please be sure to call your hotel to ask about transportation.

Will a recording of this event be available?

Because the Leadership Intensive is best experienced live, there will not be any recordings of the main sessions or labs available post-Intensive. We appreciate your understanding.

Can my spouse or family members attend the Wednesday night service?

Since we reach full capacity at every location, we limit the Wednesday night experience to only those registered for the Intensive.

Will translation be available?

Because our goal is to provide a distraction-free environment for our attendees, translation is unavailable during the Intensive.

Is there a discount code if I am a Grow member?

Since we are keeping the cost at a minimum so as many pastors and leaders can attend, the cost is $125 for both members and non-members.

Planning to come to the MOTION Student Conference?

Since all locations will reach their capacity, we will not be able to accommodate your students who may be in town for our 2017 MOTION Student Conference. Please ensure you have adequate chaperones to be with your students off-site during the Leadership Intensive.
