Annual Leadership Intensive

July 25-27, 2017

The Leadership Intensive takes place annually at Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama. This training event is designed for the Senior Pastor and any staff or volunteer leaders who oversee ministry within the local church.

The Intensive consists of general sessions and dozens of breakout labs that focus on specific ministry areas. The labs are designed to help provide hands-on training, as well as give attendees practical insights into how ministry happens at Church of the Highlands. Labs are designed with intentionality to allow both the training needed to understand the systems, structures, and key components that make up a ministry area, as well as ample time for question and answer. It is our goal to ensure that every attendee leaves resourced and with every question answered. To serve as many churches as possible, there is a limit of 8 attendees per church.

About the Leadership Intensive

At Church of the Highlands, we are passionate about resourcing, partnering, and helping churches. We believe that the local church is the hope of the world. Through the Grow Network and its Leadership Intensive, we train pastors by helping them learn the systems and structures that will enable their church to grow to the next level. This is not a typical conference—it is a hands-on training designed to empower, refresh, encourage, and give you the ministry tools you need to grow your church.

The Intensive is hosted at two of the Highlands’ campuses in Birmingham, Alabama:

At the Grants Mill Campus, Pastor Chris Hodges teaches the main sessions live and then interactive labs are led by presenters in large classroom settings.

At the Grandview Campus, Pastor Chris Hodges teaches the main sessions via live stream and identical labs are led by live presenters in a smaller, intimate classroom setting.

Attendees will participate only at their registered campus throughout the entirety of the Leadership Intensive. For your convenience, all of the Intensive events are identical and offered at both campuses.
